After visiting Snopes for what seems like the fiftieth time this year (this time it was to get the link to the KFC isn’t chicken story), I have decided to write a short ode to them.
Actually, it’s more of a limerick, or maybe it’s a poem; here it is anyway:
Thanks a lot, for all your help Snopes,
when I get email, from all of those dopes.
“Bill Gates gives money for free”,
“they don’t serve chicken, at that KFC”.
At least your site gives me hope.
OK, so it wasn’t the best poem-limerick-thing. The point still stands, Snopes is a great resource for people to “prove” (as much as you can by using a website) that all these urban legends are untruths.
