I was able to get a few shots of this cute little bird before he flew away. This is probably my favourite even though it wasn’t the closest. I liked the rest of the scene as well, and it reminds me of the tranquility and small-town charm of this part of Bern.

Justine’s doing the washing today using — as anyone who’s visited our house knows — the outside laundry. This can sometimes be annoying; if it’s extremely hot, cold or raining, it can be a quick dash out to the laundry to get do whatever you need to do (i.e. get clothes, put in clothes, etc).
Leaving the door open can cause all sorts of things to enter or leave the laundry. Justine went out to the laundry earlier today and called out for me to come and help her. Being the man means, of course, that whenever there’s anything that could pose a problem, I must resolve it.
This time, it was a tiny little bird, around 2-3 inches high which had become confused and was trying to exit the laundry by flying through the window… which doesn’t open. Being the rugged, tough, heroic man, I captured the deadly tiny little bird and took it outside. Then I let the dangerous critter loose upon the unsuspecting world.
Crikey!
