I figured that since it’s going to be difficult to come up with a new and interesting idea each day, that I would let different cultures and countries think them up for me.

Vietnam celebrates Confucius’ birthday today, and the hat we bought in Thailand fit the bill perfectly for this idea. I know it’s not really “Confucius-y” but it’s where the idea stemmed from.

Many of the photos I took while we were overseas I remember well. Though I remember taking the photos that make up this panorama (there’s a few “stitched” together), and it’s obvious that it was in Amsterdam, I don’t really remember the exact location very well.

No, it’s not because it was Amsterdam!

It’s great when they all get along, but a downright nuisance when they’re fighting.

Sometimes I just lock them in a cupboard until they all calm down.

This isn’t the first time I’ve played around with “cloning” myself, but it’s the first time I’ve bothered to put it online.

We were supposed to go to the Chill Island festival today but it was postponed due to heavy rain and gale force winds.

What else to do but lie around all day?

Leaving for work this morning…

Even though we knew Amsterdam was famous for the number of cyclists (among other things!), it struck us both how many there actually are.

Just as surprising is the style of the bikes, they are an old style of bike and anyone in Australia caught dead riding one of these would be, well, dead.

The parking lot at the main train station in Amsterdam was perhaps the most surprising of all. Four levels, just for bikes. There must have been close to (if not more than) 10,000 bikes parked there.
