A lonely, abandoned bucket lulls in the shallow water along Brighton Beach at sunset.

Even though Justine asked me not to wade into the water (making the sand stick to my feet when I came out, and getting all over the car) I still walked in just to get this shot.

I think the shot was worth it; the nice colours and reflection in the foreground, and the recognisable but blurry bathing boxes in the background. The shore with the sand inbetween is nice, too.

A bit unimaginative, but it was an overcast, boring, rainy day and those will do that to you.

It’s from the front passenger-side door on a black Mitsubishi Magna.

Some times you see something you want to photograph and have to work to get the right angles, focus, depth of field and so on. Other times, you look and immediately see the shot you want.

This is one of those times. We were walking down a street in Munich, and I was looking over at the building site on our left. I looked up and to my right and saw this shot waiting for me to capture it.

Other than “somewhere in Munich”, I can’t really remember where this was. The data from my GPS unit is available but I am still having trouble processing all 130,000-odd points from our trip.
